Finally I decided to start sharing whatever solutions I come across by writing how to’s in the hope that others are able to find solutions to problems without having to spend as much time as I had to searching and reading many many pages on the web.
- How to install Windows 7 64-bit from a 32-bit Windows XP system?
This how-to will help you install Windows 7 64-bit on your system and help you if you are trying to install it using the executable you downloaded and you get this error when you run the executable from your 32-bit Windows XP machine: “The application cannot find one of its required files, possibly because it was unable to create it in the folder. Please make sure that the folder in which this application is accessible and not read only” and/or this error message when you try to select a drive to install to and it turns out to be a dynamic drive: “Windows cannot be installed to this Hard Disk Space, The partition contains one or more dynamic volumes that are not supported for installation”
